Who am I?
I am a BBSRC LIDo PhD candidate investigating the neuronal calcium channel regulation at the Kadurin Lab, Queen Mary University of London, and Co-Project Lead at the Benzo Research Project.
I have been involved in the harm reduction and drug policy space since 2021, with a focus on platforming the voices of young people who use drugs. I've co-authored a qualitative research report on young people’s benzo use and evidence briefings on drug consumption rooms, and worked with drug services across the UK to improve their support and staff training.
My goal is to bridge the gap between my academic and harm reduction work. The UK is experiencing a drug deaths crisis, with drug-related harms arising from both sociopolitical and molecular origins. Thus, an interdisciplinary approach that understands how both interplay is essential to save lives.
